"The Big Boat of Humour" is an extremely interesting artistic initiative. In its origin, is held the need of being noticed as an unusual, and persistent, in reaching desired aims, place.

Lodz, multicultural and multitraditional city with rich history and artistic possession, through the years was an inspiration in many different projects, in the field of business, politics, architecture and arts.

I am certain, that participation in this contest, will be an important artistic experience. It allows to sharpen satirical point of view and, first of all, encourages to come back to the subject in the following editions of the competition.

I would like to spur cartoonists, in order to next years, to feel like making for creation of prized works gallery, which – I hope – will enhance the landscape of Lodz’s culture and will be distinguished in the world.

I hope that international range of competition will make our city closer to foreign cartoonists, who will retain it in warm – hearted memory, what is the best way to promote our city in the world.
